The multi-talented and gifted Malawian singer-songwriter, music producer, and politician from Balaka – Lucius Chicco Banda famously known by his stage name Soldier Lucius Banda. The Malawian act Lucius Banda has finally captured the attention of the the Malawian music listeners with his much anticipated body of work which he proudly entitled as “Time”. This album “Time” is a successful project by Lucius Banda, which was released in the year of 2013. This body of work “Time” is made-up of (16) solid songs all in one. Lucius Banda is a well known artist and is one of the legends in Malawi. He started his musical career in 1983 when he was 13 years old when he started singing with his brother Paul Banda.
Just to put more light, Lucius Banda started his music career while in elementary school at Mponda Full Primary School. To further his music career, Lucius Banda decided to go to music school in South Africa. This dream was fulfilled when he joined “Dorkey House” in Johannesburg, where he spent one full year studying music. This album “Time” was made interesting with songs like “Paulendo, Wandikwatiradi, Miss You, Mulungu Simunthu, Tell Her I Love Her, Nancy, Usaope Akachena, Its All About You, Ndakonzeka, Ndi Wanga and Forever only to mention few”.
