One of Zambia’s biggest Christian denomination – New Apostolic Church, has had its choir just drop a brand new hit album which happens to be titled “The Heart Of God”. In this album, the choir compiled a totality of about Twelve (12) songs in it without any features from any other churches or choirs. The New Apostolic Church has about Five (5) different choirs in it which are the Mixed Choir, The Senior Choir which has senior citiezens, the Young People’s Choir commonly known as YPC, Male Choir and Children’s Choir commonly known as Sunday School. All these choirs are accompanied by a special music group which is known as the Orchestra. The New Apostolic Church prefers classic music compared to others, that is why most classical songs are commonly done by the New Apostolic Church.
The orchestra has a number of interesting musical instruments which are divided into different sections. The strings section where there are Violins, Violas, Cellos and Double Bass. The Wind Section ranges from Flutes, Bassoon, Clarinets, Oboes, Recorders and Treble Recorders. For the Brass section, there are Trumpets, Trombone, French Horn, Tuba, Euphonium and many more. The final section is the Percussion section which has Timpanis, Triangle, Chimes, Cymbals, Bass Drums, Snares and many others. Together these create a sound which gives them their identinty.
