The Zambian male gospel singer/songwriter Kings Malembe Malembe has dropped a tribute song to the late former president of Zambia, Edgar Chagwa Lungu, titled ‘Pafita Edgar Chagwa Lungu’. According to the news, Zambia’s sixth republican president, Dr. Edgar Chagwa Lungu, passed away on Thursday, 5th June 2025, at MediClinic Medforum Hospital in Pretoria, South Africa, where he received specialized medical care. We are happy that President Lungu dedicatedly served our nation, rising through the ranks of public service with humility and resolve. As Head of State from 2015 to 2021, he steered the country through triumphs and trials, always placing Zambia and her people above all else. His tenure was marked by a focus on infrastructure development, regional diplomacy, and efforts to maintain peace and unity in a changing political landscape.
