Olios Records CEO Yo Maps drops a tribute song to Dandy Crazy. The song is titled “I Wish”. King Dandy Crazy passed away on the 2nd of January at UTH. He was involved in a road traffic accident were his three friends died on the spot. He was rushed at the hospital but unfortunately passed away after going through surgery. Dandy Crazy’s rise of fame can be traced in the 2000’s when he and some few other prominent artists like Macky 2, Afunika formed a music group known as Danger Zone. He was the first artist to make it out from the label. His been in this music industry for close to two decades. His released singles such as baloon type, you are my first lady, chintelewe, not guilty, shapelele panshila and one of his most popular poltical song “Donchi Kubeba”. A lot of artists have shared how much impact Dandy Crazy made impact in the Zambian Music Industry. Most would say he was not only a musician but as well as a comedian.
Yesterday, 6th January 2025, Dandy Crazy was burried. Here is what Wezi had to say; KING DANDY KRAZY WAS A POWERFUL MAN If we are to be completely honest with ourselves, there’s very few reasons that can bring two politicians from rival parties together like Dandy Krazy has today. Even in death, he showed us that Zambia is far much more important than any polical party. No matter your political views, you are a Zambian first and foremost. They came together to celebrate his life and this is one of the most powerful moments I’ve witnessed not just at the send off ceremony, but in many years actually. Wesley Chibambo brought us together with his music and even in death he has continued to do so. May his light and love continue to inspire beyond his death. May his soul rest in the everlasting love and power of God!
